The Mountains are Calling!
On Day 1, you will enjoy a 7km hike to discover secret tunnels that lies deep in the Rooiberg Mountain, and which was used as a hideout during the Anglo-Boer War.
On Day 2 you will visit Golden Gate Highlands Park, cradled in the Maluti Mountains and experience the splendour of the area with during a 7km hike.
Day 3 starts off on a challenging ascent of the Drakensberg as we conquer the heights via the chain ladder, opening up a panorama of breathtaking views. The demanding 14 km climb is tailored for the adventurous spirit, promising an exhilarating journey for those seeking a test of strength and resilience against the backdrop of magnificent landscapes.
On Day 4 we set out to discover the enchanting wonders of the Royal Natal Park, featuring the Cascades, Fairy Glen, and Mahai Falls. Embark on a delightful 9 km stroll, immersing yourself in the spectacular scenery that unfolds at every turn.
On Day 5 we embark on the Tugela Gorge Walk, with the spotlight on the world-renowned Amphitheathre – a breathtaking basalt wall stretching approximately 5 km in length and towering over 1,000 meters in height. This walk is one of the most scenic and rewarding hikes in the Royal Natal National Park. This trail offers hikers breathtaking views of the Drakensberg Amphitheatre and the Tugela Falls, the second-highest waterfall in the world. Covering a distance of 14 km, this highly sought-after trail offers the optimal vantage point to witness the Amphitheatre at its most awe-inspiring.
